‘HOME, a gloomy sort of name’ is a multidisciplinary project consisting of a short film, scale-models, props, storyboards, scripts and a soundtrack. The project draws a parallel between a traumatic memory from childhood and the sense of continuous dread that seems prevalent in our current society. This link comes from the idea that the world we live in (with fake-news, the presence of technology in our social interactions, terrorism, information overload) creates a kind of societal post-traumatic stress, manifesting itself in symptoms of that disorder (and other mental illnesses) such as paranoia, repetition, flashbacks, hearing voices, fragmentation and emotional dissociation.
