Hole & Corner: Looming Large
A short film for John Smedley Knitwear
From Lea Mills to St James’s, the making of a trademark John Smedley merino wool sweater takes fifty craftsmen per garment. The film was shot at Lea Mills in Derbyshire, the world’s oldest manufacturing factory in continuous operation for one brand. Wool has been produced at this mill since 1784: a remarkable example of British industry.
